Shipping Details

MotorMoor Carriers for Smaller Items:

Please note that for smaller Web Sale items (such as eBay Sale Goods, General Goods and non-Freight Vehicle Parts), we currently use Interlink Express Parcels Limited as our main carrier. We also have accounts with Pallet Shipment Companies who can handle Freight such as heavier or more bulky items. We will select the most suitable carrier for the shipment, as some Carriers are more cost effective than others depending upon the size and weight of the order. Antiques and Jewellery items cannot be sent via Interlink, so will be sent via an alternative carrier.

International rates are to be advised per shipment, but they will be competitive and every effort will be made to reduce all Shipping charges to the minimum possible that will also allow a Safe and Secure Delivery Service.

MotorMoor Shipment Security and Order Progress Updates via Email:

Proof of Delivery:

All Shipments must be signed for upon Delivery, as we both need Proof of Delivery to confirm that you have received the Parcel in Good Condition. This helps to avoid misunderstandings and confusion in the event that an order goes missing, or is delivered to the wrong address, or if there was nobody available to receive the Package when Delivered.

Valid Contact and Address Details:

Please Note that before we can Ship an item, we must first have your Full Contact Details, especially if these details are not clearly provided via eBay or PayPal. We must have your Full Name, Business Name (where Applicable), Full Postal Address, Postcode and details of your Land Line Telephone. Please also advise your Mobile Telephone Number if you would also like these details added to the Delivery Note.

Provided we have Telephone and/or Mobile Telephone details, then our Carrier can then Contact you if they have any problems finding your Address.

Valid Email Address:

Very Important: please also ensure that your email address is Valid and Operational, as we will be sending you Consignment Number details via email. If your email is down for any reason, please let us know. We can send Shipment confirmation details via other means, such as Fax, Text Message or we can use eBay Messaging. However, email is our primary means of communication, and our System is geared to sending out Order Progress Messages via email.

Your Contact Details will not be added to a general System, and we will not release them to any 3rd Party Mailing Lists.

Failed Deliveries to Unoccupied Addresses:

Because it is important that all Packages must be Signed for, if nobody is there to Sign for the Package, then Delivery cannot be made. We will always try to re-book a 2nd Delivery attempt Free of Charge if at all possible. However, if the Goods are Returned to us because nobody was there to Sign for the Package, then a 2nd Delivery Charge may be required before our Carrier can attempt a further Delivery.

Damaged Deliveries:

In the event of a Damaged Delivery, please do not accept or sign for the Package. If you have signed, then claiming against our Insurance becomes much harder. At the very least, you will need to send us an Image of the Damaged and Unopened Item before we can even begin to Submit a Claim against our Carriage Insurance. In any event, we cannot Authorise a Return or Refund unless we issue you with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA). Any Packages arriving here without a valid RMA will be refused automatically by our Goods-In Security.

Collections from a Local Carrier Depot:

It may be possible to collect an item from your local Depot, say, if you cannot be in, but can get to the Depot during Working Hours. Contact us and we will discuss this with your Depot to see what can be arranged. You will need Proof of ID and the Consignment Number from us before they will release the Package(s).

Collections from us:

This is not usually possible, as we are a Web based business and the Goods are not always held at our own Locations before Shipment. Some items Ship direct from our Distributors. We have no Shop or Collection facilities at this time, and our Administrative HQ is neither Rated nor Insured for Retail Operations involving hand held items or Parts. However, we may open a Local Collection Point in the future, and will update this Section if so.

MotorMoor Web Carriage Charges:

For both eBay and Web Sales, we will always clearly state the Standard Carriage Charge per item, and this will be based on Shipments to Mainland UK Addresses.

MotorMoor Standard Carriage Charge (8.34 + VAT@20% = 10.00):

The MotorMoor Standard Charge covers Shipment of the item anywhere to the UK Mainland via our carrier Interlink Express Parcels Ltd. This is an Insured and Fully Tracked Service. A Consignment Number and Web Tracking URL will be emailed on Despatch. The Package is our responsibility until Signed for by the Buyer when it is Delivered, after which our liability for Loss or Damage during Carriage and Shipment ends. Please inspect the Package on Delivery, as once Signed for, the Buyer is deemed to have accepted that the Goods have arrived in good condition.

As a guide, for Next Working Day delivery on parcels weighing under 10kg, our UK Mainland shipping charge will be 8.34 + VAT@20% = 10.00. N.B. this price and level of service applies to the United Kingdom mainland only (UK Highlands and Islands will incur a higher carriage charge).

The Size and Weight of an item determines the Carriage Charge, but speed of Delivery is also a factor. As a rule of thumb, the faster the Delivery needs to be made, the higher the cost. We will always try to keep these charges as low as possible, and will always agree the price with you before Shipment.

Carriage, where applicable, is usually charged on Top of the Item Price. Please refer to our Web Listing or the eBay Sale Main Listing Details for Carriage Charge details, as some items may have a Special Carriage Cost if they are very Large, Heavy or Bulky.

Optional Special Extra Delivery Charges:

Our Standard Delivery is usually made Next Working Day, but this timescale is not Guaranteed. If you need Delivery to be made on a Certain Day (Mainland UK), we can offer a Timed Delivery Service or Saturday Delivery Service, at extra Cost (we will deduct any Standard Charge from these figures, so that you will only Pay the extra amount over and above the Standard Rate already offered).

Timed Parcel Delivery by 12:00 16.00 + VAT 20% = 19.20 (includes 10Kg, above that we must add 46p+VAT per Kilo).

Timed Parcel Delivery by 09:30 22.00 + VAT 20% = 26.40 (includes 10Kg, above that we must add 46p+VAT per Kilo).

Saturday Delivery 32.00 + VAT 20% = 38.40 (includes 10Kg, above that we must add 46p+VAT per Kilo).

For any urgent or important Deliveries, for example, if you have taken a Day off Work to be in, then we advise making Contact with the Interlink Express Parcels Ltd Depot nearest to you to discuss the Delivery timing with the Depot directly. If Shipped via Interlink, you can check which Depot handles your Address by entering your Delivery Address Postcode on their Web Site ( This will both confirm your address and return the Address and Contact details of your local Depot. It is often worth giving them a Call, when you can quote the Consignment Number and they may be able to advise a more accurate ETA.

UK Highlands and Islands:

We now have a Flat Rate for Next Working Day Parcel Shipment to UK Highlands and Islands of 18.00 + VAT 20% = 21.60. There will be an additional charge over this Rate for Timed or Saturday Charges, and a small Weight Fee for every extra Kg over 10Kg. This Rate includes Northern Ireland.

Republic of Ireland/Eire (ROI):

We now have a 2 Day Service to ROI. This Rate cannot exceed 31.5Kg per Shipment to ROI. The Rate is 16.00 + VAT 20% = 19.20. We can Ship heavier items, but need to obtain a Special Rate per Shipment.

EEC and Exporting:

We can Ship to the EEC and also anywhere in the World, but please Contact before Buying to obtain an accurate Price.

Deduction of Carriage VAT:

Carriage VAT may be deducted for Export outside of the EEC, and also for Shipments within the EEC if sent to a Business with a Valid EEC VAT Registration Number.

Combined Carriage Charges:

We will gladly Combine Carriage Charges for Multiple Purchases if you make Contact before Buying to let us know. Once Payment has been made for an initial item and the Package Shipped, we cannot then Combine Carriage Charges for subsequent items with the initial item.

Freight Pallet Service:

We can organise the Shipment of larger items via Pallet. As a guide, a standard Pallet Shipped to the Mainland UK will usually cost around 50.00 to 90.00 (including VAT) although this depends on the Speed of Delivery required. Shipments beyond that will cost more.

MotorMoor Web Tracking for Parts:

Most goods Shipped direct from MotorMoor will have a Consignment Number. We will email this to you as the goods leave, and will also let you have a web tracking URL so that you can follow the order's progress right to your door.

Large or heavy items will usually be shipped on a Pallet, and delivery takes between one and three Working Days, depending on the Carriage Cost or Speed of Service requested. A Working Day being Monday to Friday during normal Office Hours (09:00-17:30).

To track goods sent via Interlink Express, please use the following URL:

MotorMoor Deliveries:

In view of our increased Web Sales of Smaller Items such as Auction Goods and Parts, we are currently unable to Deliver larger items such as Plant or Disabled Vehicles. However, this position may change later in 2010. In the interim, larger items will need to be Collected or otherwise Delivered by your own Contractors. If required, we may be able to recommend suitable Contractors who can offer a good Service.

MotorMoor local deliveries for awkward or bulky items may be possible in the Mid-Devon to South-Devon Areas.

MotorMoor Vehicle Collection by Customer:

You are more than welcome to collect Roadworthy Vehicles from us, but please make sure you make an Appointment beforehand, as the Vehicle may not be stored at our main Devon base. We regret that Moving a Vehicle at short notice is not possible due to access, location and suitable Truck availability limitations. Our Trucks are usually fully booked on our own Collections at least 14 days ahead.

We are also happy to meet customers at any nearby British Rail Stations, such as Exeter, Newton Abbot, Totnes or Plymouth. Many clients find this convenient, as they can then drive the vehicle straight home from the station. We'll always send you off with the vehicle Documents (where available), such as V5, MOT or Service History. We may be able to Tax some Vehicles at Cost (if not already Taxed). However, please note that you must organise Insurance yourself. Once Payment has been made, we will gladly send Key Registration and MOT Documents to you ahead of collection, so that Insurance and/or Road Tax can be organised.

Please note: vehicles purchased must be Paid for within 5 working days (or as Listed on an eBay Sale), and then Collected within 10 working days. After this time, Storage charges may apply at the rate of GBP 10.00 + VAT per day. However, in the event that we agree to Store a Vehicle before Purchase, then extended periods may be available free of charge. The main issue is that you let us know your intentions before making a Purchase.

MotorMoor Returns and Distance Selling Regulations:

MotorMoor complies with the Distance Selling Regulations by providing a 7 Working Day Cooling Off Period starting from the Day of Delivery of the Goods. Goods being Returned must first be cleared with MotorMoor who will issue an RMA Number. Goods being Returned must be sent back to MotorMoor at the Buyer's Cost and Risk, using an Insured Carrier who requires Signature on Delivery. This is to Prove the Returned Package has been Delivered back to MotorMoor, to confirm safe receipt back at MotorMoor (this is for your own benefit to confirm Delivery at MotorMoor has been made).

MotorMoor cannot be held responsible for items Lost or Damaged whilst being Returned, so adequate Insurance must be taken out as a pre-condition before we will agree to accept any item back under these arrangements.

Royal Mail Special Delivery with suitable Insurance Cover would be suitable, as would any Reputable Carrier who offers a Tracked and Insured Service. The Goods must not have been Opened or Used, and must be in the same Condition as when they arrived.

N.B. The Cooling Off period is a time to change your mind, not an opportunity to Test and experiment with the Goods.

Please note that it is vital that Buyers wishing to Return any item under the Distance Selling Regulations, must make Contact with MotorMoor to discuss the arrangements. For Security Reasons, any Packages arriving at MotorMoor without a Valid RMA Number will not be Accepted, and the Delivery will be Refused.

Once the Returned Goods have been Delivered back to MotorMoor and the Delivery Accepted based on a Valid RMA Number, then the Returned Goods will be removed from their Return Packaging and then inspected by our Goods-In Quality Control. Provided they are still in unused and a fully Saleable Condition, a Full Refund will be made within the Statutory 30 Days (usually much sooner), and this Refund will include our Standard outbound Carriage. If Special or Urgent Delivery was originally requested, MotorMoor will not Pay any amount over and above our Standard Charge, as the extra Carriage is not refundable by these arrangements as it represents a special charge specifically requested by the Buyer.

If Goods originally arrived in good condition (confirmed as such by Signed Delivery and no notification of Damage upon delivery), but when Returned after that Date and are found to be Damaged, or no longer in a Saleable Condition, then no Refund will be made. The Goods will be Returned to the Buyer at the Buyer's Cost, or held at MotorMoor for a period of 30 Calendar Days to allow time for their Collection by the Buyer's Carrier. After this time, if the Goods have not been Collected, they will be disposed of.

Please note that all Damaged or otherwise Faulty Goods initially Delivered to the Customer in this Condition are fully covered whilst within our Warranty Cover period provided we are notified of any problems within a reasonable timescale from Receipt. Please note that such Warranty Cover time limits can vary between items, as we Sell a range of Goods from New to Pre-Used to Clearance items. If Sold on eBay, the period of Cover is stated in the Listing for each item. In the event of a Fault within Warranty Cover, please Contact MotorMoor to Discuss Repair, Replacement or Refund. MotorMoor will arrange collection of all such Faulty items at our Cost provided they are still within Warranty Cover.
